Rapper Ice Cube recently revealed that he is still intent on getting a biopic made about his legendary former group, N.W.A. The act often credited with introducing gangsta rap to the mainstream, N.W.A. featured MC Ren, DJ Yella, Dr. Dre, Cube and the late Eazy E. The brief-but-tumultuous history of the band and its unquestionable legacy on popular music makes it perfect for Hollywood, but Cube is still trying to put all of the pieces together.
"I'm trying to get the N.W.A movie made. I want to get a good script together and find a director. The movie is gonna cover how we got together, how we broke up and what happened after that," says Cube. "The bookmarks for the movie will be when [Dr.] Dre started DJing for his Momma doing house parties up to Eazy's [E] death. There's no reason to go after that."
